Single Stage Straight Block (American Type) Model Reciprocating Piston Type Air Compressors
A single stage air compressor is available either in straight american type design or V type design. All reciprocating (piston type) air compressors works using the force of a piston or multiple pistons and pressure sensitive valve. These are usually designed to house one cylinder or two cylinders that compresses air with a single piston stroke. These cylinders are connected to a power supply that provides the force needed to compress the air. It is different from double and multiple stage air compressors because the air passes through just one cylinder and one valve to complete the compression cycle and enter the air receiver tank.

- Single Stage Air Compressor is either powered by electricity or gas. The electricity powered Air Compressors are user-friendly and, thus more common. On the contrary, the Gas powered compressors can be used when there is lack of electricity or in areas where it is hard to use electricity.
- The Single Stage Air Compressors provide power to pneumatic tools such as spray guns, ratchet wrenches, air nailers and air staplers. They can be used in gas stations, car garages and workshops and various manufacturing plants.
- As compared to their counterparts, Single Stage Air Compressors are more energy efficient. They generate more flow rate of air as in Cubic Feet Per Minute (CFM) or Liters Per Minute (LPM) at a lower pressure compared to the two stage variants.
